Athletics

Traditions. Fitness. Wellness. Competition. Teamwork. For our colleges, the emphasis of sports is on wellness and recreation as part of the whole person. For many, it also includes the challenge and rewards of intercollegiate competition.

Athletics plays a key role in nearly every Annapolis Group college, with most of the programs competing on the NCAA Division III level (though a few, in selected sports, are in Division I). Each institution utilizes athletics in distinctive ways as part of its mission of helping develop the whole student, though the general agreement is that our kind of schools “do college athletics right.”
